How Air Pruning Works
In a traditional plastic pot, roots often circle around the inside of the container. Over time, this can create a more compact root mass and limit healthy root structure.
Grow Cups are designed to allow natural air pruning. When roots reach air exposure, the plant responds by developing more small feeder roots instead of continuing to circle. This can help create a more fibrous root system with improved access to water and nutrients. A more fibrous root structure can support stronger early growth and better uptake of water and nutrients during propagation.
